If you’re a first time visitor to Alea Nottingham we want you to feel welcome and totally confident as you walk through our doors. And even if you’re an experienced hand, we know you may also have questions.

Based on our years of experience and feedback from customers, we have put together a list of commonly asked questions and relevant answers. We hope you'll find them useful, but if you can't find the answer to your question or need further assistance, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help.

DO I HAVE TO APPLY FOR CASINO MEMBERSHIP?

No, entry to the casino is free. However, to join the Player Rewards programme, which rewards you for your play, you need to bring ID (driving licence photo card or passport) with you when you visit and our friendly reception staff will sign you up then and there. Joining Player Rewards is also free.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO ENTER THE CASINO?

You must be 18 years of age or over to enter the casino. This applies to all the casino's facilities, including the restaurants. You will be challenged if you are lucky enough to look 21 or under.

DO I NEED ID?

Manchester235 operates a no membership policy although we are legally obliged to verify the identity of anybody conducting cash transactions at £1,500 and over.  ID is also required to join the Player Rewards programme for the first time but, once you have joined, your Player Rewards card will be the only ID required.

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

A: We want you to feel comfortable and ready to enjoy your visit to the Empire so we recommend a smart casual dress code.


DO I HAVE TO WEAR A JACKET?

A: No jackets are not required. And even jeans and trainers are ok as long as they look neat and presentable.

DO YOU HAVE CAR PARKING FACILITIES?

Please note from 1st March 2016 the car park will strictly be for casino members. Guests are welcome to park there, provided they put in their details of their car registration & Player Rewards number at the Cash desk when they arrive.

If the car park is full, alternative parking facilities are available at the Crowne Plaza hotel to the sum of £4. Guests found to be double parking, blocking or parking outside a marked space will be fined £100.


DO YOU HAVE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS TO THE CASINO?

Yes our casino has wheelchair access and disabled toilets.

WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS?

The casino, bars and restaurants are open 7 days a week.

WHAT GAMING FACILITIES DO YOU HAVE?

The gaming floors have 22 gaming tables, which include Blackjack, Three Card Poker, Punto Banco and American Roulette. There are 18 state-of-the-art electronic gaming machines and 37 for Electronic Roulette. For more information about poker and tournaments, please visit the poker section on the website.

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO VERIFY MY IDENTITY WHEN YOU REACH A CERTAIN LEVEL OF CASH-IN OR CASH OUT IN THE CASINO?

A: Money Laundering Regulations in the UK legally oblige us to obtain a positive form of identity from you if you reach or exceed the cash buy-in/cash out threshold. The details of our threshold levels are displayed clearly around the casino and our management team will be more than happy to help with any queries about acceptable forms of ID.

 

IF I DON'T WANT TO GAME, WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?

We have two fantastic restaurants offering various menus and three bars fully stocked with wines, beers and spirits, plus an extensive cocktail menu.  We also have the latest audio visual sound system and, for sports fans, we have TV screens showing all the major sporting events.

I’VE HEARD PLAYER REWARDS MENTIONED. WHAT ARE THEY?

Player Rewards is part of Caesars loyalty programme. Once signed up, you earn Reward Points every time you play, eat or drink at one of our venues. The more you earn, the greater your Tier status and benefits. You’ll get more return on your play than with any other casino group. We’ll even give you a free drink and gaming voucher when you sign up at the Empire.

 

DOES IT COST ANYTHING TO JOIN PLAYER REWARDS?

A: No, signing up to Player Rewards is free. Registration is quick and easy.

 

DOES MY PLAYER REWARDS CARD ENTITLE ME TO VISIT ANY OTHER CAESARS ENTERTAINMENT CASINOS?

A: Yes, you can use your Player Rewards card at all Caesars Entertainment casinos nationwide (except for Playboy Club London, which is a private members’ club).

 

I HAVE NOT VISITED THE CASINO FOR A WHILE. IS MY PLAYER REWARDS CARD STILL VALID?

A: Your Player Rewards card will remain valid. However you need to have visited a casino within the last six months to keep your Rewards Points balance. Otherwise your balance expires.

 

I’VE LOST MY PLAYER REWARDS CARD. CAN I STILL ENTER THE CASINO?

A: Yes, you can still come in to the casino. Make sure you pick up a replacement card from Reception desk on your way in.

 

WHAT DOES MY PLAYER REWARDS CARD ENTITLE ME TO?

A: Every time you play Slots, Electronic games and table games you earn Reward Points. These can be used for food, drinks and merchandise within the casino.
